It's Time to Break Out

It's time to break out of your shell and claim your greatness. Break away from your negative beliefs and embrace the real powerful you.

It's time to break out of your rut and get rid of your old beliefs and habits that are keeping you in a prison of your own making. Old beliefs, like the world is flat and the sun revolves around the earth, had lots of people fooled. Christopher Columbus was not intimidated by the nay sayers of his time, who told him he would sail off to the end of the world because the earth was flat. This gutsy adventurer was responsible for giving birth to one of the greatest civilizations the world has ever known, America. Obviously, Columbus was not intimidated by old beliefs.

You Are Better Than You Think

You are better than you think means there is a whole new world out there just waiting for your attention and interest. It's literally there for your taking. You just need to know how to unlock the door of opportunity. The key for realizing your potential lies within your belief system. We all are the sum total of our beliefs.

The big problem most people run into is that they seriously under estimate their potential. Why do they do this? The simple answer is, most people are being controlled by negative thought patterns and beliefs, which where planted in their subconscious minds by authority figures, who in most cases, didn't know any better.

What Can You Do About It

Maxwell Maltz in his book Psycho-Cybernetics 2000, has plenty to say about this subject. Mr. Maltz states that all of us can improve our lives immensely by using our imaginations to reprogram our minds in a positive manner. He goes into great detail on how to eliminate negative beliefs, and replace these antiquated beliefs, with positive life affirming thoughts.

The greatest gift a parent can give a child is self-confidence, a healthy vitality which enables the child to reach out and explore new opportunities and challenges. Unfortunately, many well meaning parents and institutions shackle children with a strong sense of limitation, insecurity, and fear. These negative elements don't promote strong, positive, adventurous adults.

Anthony Robbins in his book, Awaken the Giant Within, stresses the idea that we can associate pain or pleasure with anything we choose. A person can change emotions of pain to pleasure, which are associated with a chosen course of action, by continuous persistence and positive thinking. The negative "neuro-associations" eventually evaporate. This idea of Robbins', in conjunction with Malt's creative visualization, can be an excellent approach for your "Break Out" strategy. Additionally, Robbins states that your past doesn't determine your future, which Maltz totally agrees with.

Where Do You Begin

You can begin you journey, towards realizing your greatness, by simply making a slight adjustment in your attitude or perspective. Get up in the morning and face yourself squarely in the mirror and sing that old time religion song, "How Great Thou Art." Just make sure you are including yourself in this lavish praise.

Your next step towards your self-actualization, is to change your attitude towards making mistakes. Quit worrying about what people think about you. Most people could care less how you fare in life. They are too occupied about their own lives. Of course we know who really cares, right? Yeah, it's you! This really hits at the heart of your problem, doesn't? You are your worst enemy. When people make mistakes, they usually jump all over themselves. People are their own worst critics.

Look at it this way. The sooner you jump into a new adventure and take action, the faster you will get to where you want to be. You are going to make mistakes. Everybody goofs up. Here's the problem, most people don't achieve their dreams and ambitions because they can't stand criticism.

You will be better off if you stop being so self-conscious. Maltz states this form of excessive inhibition can be eliminated by doing the following:

  • Quit worrying about what the neighbors will think. People weren't placed in this world to always please others.
  • Practice the CRAFT proccess every day for six weeks:

  1. Cancel memories of your old negative beliefs by using your imagination to visualize that memory and then wipe it out of your imagination.
  2. Replace that old belief with a new positive belief or visualization.
  3. Affirm your new positive concept of yourself.
  4. Focus on specific images of your successful self.
  5. Train yourself to to accept your new positive beliefs by using your imagination to visualize your healthy self-image.
It's Really Time to Break Out

You can break out of your rut and claim your greatness by letting go of your negative beliefs. Listen to your positive intuition and begin your journey of self-discovery and adventure, just like Christopher Columbus. There is a wonderful world waiting for you with your name on it. Revamp your belief systems with the use of positive creative imagination. Make your subconscious mind work for you. Look at the mistakes you make along your journey, as mere sign posts, which are leading you towards your goal and success.
